If you love your library and love the services it provides, consider a donation to the Indian Prairie Public Library Foundation. Donations can be made in many ways – as an unrestricted gift, to commemorate or honor a person or event, or for a specific purchase, program or area of the library.

Donations of certain dollar amounts will be recognized on the donor recognition tree in our lobby or on the Brick Path in the Reading Garden. The Foundation is a 501(C)3 corporation, so your support qualifies as a charitable gift. Your donation could be made by cash, property, stocks, last will and testaments or living trusts.

The Foundation was established in 1994 by a group of civic leaders to develop sources of financial support to ensure the continuation of the library’s services now and in the future.

Over the years, the Indian Prairie public Library Foundation has supported the library by sponsoring programs for children and adults that contribute to the library’s vision to be an essential center of learning, inspiration and community pride. The Foundation has purchased furniture to enhance patrons’ use of the library and most recently donated audio books to the collection.

The Chan Memorial Fund, administered through the Foundation, has greatly enhanced the collection of classical music CDs and sponsors the Chan Concert Series of live musical performances. The Chan Fund also purchased a clavinova to be used in concerts or by individuals for composing or practicing music.

Thank you to those who have contributed to the library. We appreciate your thoughtfullness and generosity. Click here for a list of current donors.

The Foundation meets on the third Wednesday of January, April, and September.  Meetings are scheduled immediately preceding Library Board meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.  Special meetings may be called.  The Foundation Fundraising Committee meets as needed.  All meetings are open to the public.
